Rooms and exhibits from the 17 most famous museums and gallerys can now be viewed via the Google Art Project. After web, books and streets Google now scans fine art too.
The scans are quite highres, but the really cool of this Project is that every participating Museum has select one artwork to be digitized in gigapixel technology. That means you can view these pics right down to the last detail. For example in the Uffizi Gallery, Sandro Botticellis the Birth of Venus … Simply amazing, never experienced before!
